Day 1,558
Dali
All good things must come to an end, our route took us away from the coast and we picked up a few low hills for our fourth and last crossing of the Pyrenees. Along the way we left the Eurovelo 8 and headed towards some culture.
My sister Carolyn had recommended we visit the birthplace of Salvador Dali and also Girona a few miles further on. Tom had also researched them too and was in complete agreement with my sister's suggestion. So first to Figueres and a visit to the Dali Museum. To be honest both Tom and I sometimes get a bit tired of visiting museums, we've seen so many, all wonderful in their own way, but just how many thousand-year-old relics do I need to see? So to get us to visit it needs to be special and oh my, Dali delivered. I can't quite describe the experience, I'll let Tom’s photos do that, but the team in charge there sure knows how to display his awesome array of works.
